Audiologist or Online Dealers
Why should I go to an audiologist for hearing aids instead of a hearing aid dealer or buying online?
An audiologist is a highly trained professional that is dedicated to helping you hear better. She has an advanced degree and many years of training in the anatomy of the ear, the effects of hearing loss and options for dealing with a permanent hearing loss. Through the evaluation process, the audiologist is concerned about your entire hearing system and what may be causing your hearing loss. The audiologist wants to you to hear better, not just sell you a hearing aid. When you purchase a hearing aid online, you do not receive the personal care or attention to your special hearing needs.
At CHSC, the audiologists are dedicated to your service and education. We enjoy the opportunity to answer your questions and ensure you have the best hearing solutions for your hearing loss and your lifestyle. We can also work with you if you have hearing aids that were purchased online or obtained from another provider. We will work with you to ensure that the hearing aids are appropriate for you, your hearing loss and your lifestyle. We charge a nominal fee to dispense hearing aids purchased over the internet. This fee includes a dispensing visit (programming the hearing aids and reviewing the proper care and use of the hearing aids) and rechecks as needed during the first 30 days to verify that the hearing aids are amplifying sound appropriately for your hearing loss and to ensure your success with the hearing instruments.
