Marketing Manager

Pay Range: $55,000 - $65,000 annually

Purpose of Job: 

The Marketing Manager helps to strengthen the functions of the department by supporting day-to-day marketing activities including the areas of social media marketing; content development; digital and traditional advertising; graphic design; internal and external communications; project management and other special projects as needed. 

Major Duties and Expectations 

  • Program Event StorytellingCapture high-quality photographs that highlight key moments and participants, ensuring a visually engaging representation of events. 
  • Document detailed notes and observations during events to create comprehensive and accurate records that support storytelling and marketing strategies. 
  • Craft compelling narratives that effectively communicate the impact and significance of program events, utilizing multimedia elements such as photos and videos. 

Website 

  • Ensure content is consistently up-to-date, accurate and aligned with agency objectives 
  • Optimize user experiences via feedback, analysis and industry best practices 
  • Assist with strategic projects: search engine optimization (SEO), site upgrades, etc. 

Social Media 

  • Develop annual plan; manage platforms, timelines and calendars; ensure proper execution 
  • Develop, schedule and post content; engage with followers 
  • Conduct continuous analysis; optimize reach 
  • Generate and leverage enhanced content, prioritizing new video strategies 

E-newsletters 

  • Develop annual plan; manage timelines and calendars; ensure proper execution 
  • Write and edit messages for internal and external audiences 

Design & Content 

  • Draft print materials, including flyers, brochures, posters, appeals, invitations, etc. 
  • Create engaging written, graphic and video content for all digital channels 
  • Draft speeches, position statements, press releases, talking points, etc. 
  • ​​​​​​​Edit and proofread copy 

Other 

  • Assist in the planning, creation and execution of marketing campaigns across different channels 
  • Coordinate between teams to ensure consistency in goal alignment 
  • Maintain the department’s library of digital marketing assets and inventory of collateral and/or promotional items; refresh and reorder as needed  
  • Prepare reports, presentations and other documents 
  • Utilize CRM-style data base to manage workflow, analytics, distribution lists, contacts and engagements 
  • Monitor trends and metrics; analyze feedback and data, report outcomes; help shape strategy 
  • Serve as main intake and liaison for all agency-related marketing requests 
  • Act as a team affiliate for cross-team events and priorities 
  • Provide project management and support to outside vendors 
  • Act as an ambassador of CHSC 
  • Ensure adherence to all brand guidelines 

Education/Experience/Skills 

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in digital or social media marketing 
  • Graphic design experience 
  • 5+ years of experience in a marketing/communications role 
  • Prior non-profit experience preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Understanding and proficiency with AI tools to support copy production  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 
  • Experience with social media platforms and scheduling tools (Hootsuite, HubSpot) 
  • Basic knowledge of SEO, digital marketing, and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Constant Contact) 
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and handle tight deadlines 
  • Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) 
  • Familiarity with CRM and email marketing platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Constant Contact)
