Cleveland Hearing & Speech Center Announces Opening of New Westlake Office
Cleveland Hearing & Speech Center (CHSC) is thrilled to announce the opening of its newest location at 29540 Center Ridge Road in Westlake, Ohio on October 3, 2018. The Westlake office marks the fourth location of CHSC, including South Euclid, Broadview Heights and University Circle. It offers the opportunity for the Center to bring desperately needed services and programs to the west side of Cuyahoga County and will have the capacity to serve Lorain residents as well. Cleveland Hearing & Speech Center has been the premier provider of hearing, speech-language, deafness, and interpreting services in Northeast Ohio for nearly 100 years.
Expansion of CHSC services would not be possible without the generous philanthropy of the community, including Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northeastern Ohio, who provided funding for the Westlake office. A generous bequest to CHSC from Mary Jane Davis Hartwell provided the resources that have enabled the agency to serve more children and adults across Cuyahoga County.
Says CHSC Executive Director Dr. Jennell Vick, “Communication skills are vital to the future of our community, allowing individuals to thrive at home and school and to support our economy in the workplace. Nearly 1 in 12 children has a communication disorder and 36 million American adults have some degree of hearing loss. Early diagnosis and treatment of these disorders are effective and lead to better quality of life and, in some cases, higher academic achievement. CHSC is proud to provide these services to more people in Northeast Ohio.”
A Grand Opening Celebration is scheduled for October 15 – 31, 2018, with activities and raffle drawings at all four locations.
