What is Laugh, Learn, & Grow?

Laugh, Learn, & Grow (LLG) is a special playgroup created by Cleveland Hearing & Speech Center (CHSC) to bring together families of children ages 0–2 with hearing loss.

About the Group

Because most Early Intervention (EI) services happen in the home, many families rarely meet others going through similar experiences—or realize that their services come from CHSC. LLG bridges that gap, providing families a welcoming space to play, connect, and discover all that CHSC has to offer as children grow.

These events also give CHSC the opportunity to build meaningful, lasting relationships with families—helping them stay connected to services like audiology, speech-language therapy, interpreting, and community programs throughout their child’s life.

Our Purpose

The Laugh, Learn & Grow Play Group was founded to:

• Connect families of children with hearing loss to each other and to CHSC.
• Foster friendships and a sense of community among parents and children.
• Introduce families to CHSC’s full range of communication and hearing services that support them from early intervention through adulthood.

What Families Can Expect

Each Laugh, Learn & Grow event offers:

• Fun, developmentally appropriate play activities for children ages 0–2.
• Opportunities for parents to connect, share experiences, and build friendships.
• Guidance and support from CHSC’s Early Intervention specialists, audiologists, and development team.
• Occasional themed events like visits to local play spaces, story times, and seasonal outings.
• Inclusive experiences for families using all communication modalities—spoken language, sign language, or a combination.

Join Us!

Families currently enrolled in CHSC’s Early Intervention program are encouraged to participate in upcoming Laugh, Learn & Grow events.

Events are hosted across Northeast Ohio—most often on Cleveland’s west side and in Lorain County.
